Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have been favourites with television audiences for their fantastic Argentine tango for several years and they didn’t let me down live.
Set in a Latin bar, the pair play a love-struck couple pulled apart by a love rival.
The tango dance routines manage to incorporate everything from the tables, chairs, wine bottles and even the bar.
The story is predictable, but it shows the talent of the dancers, it doesn’t matter one bit. The moments with bar tender Carlos and wife Rosa is excellently choreographed and wickedly funny. There are plenty of leg flicks, high kicks and lifts to dazzle and wow the audience.
All the dancers were fabulous but it’s hard not watch Flavia, with her sumptuous costumes, her amazing body and her ability to float, leap and shimmy across the stage with great dexterity and speed, accompanied by a flirtatious Vincent.
Fred and Ginger, Nureyev and Fonteyn, and joined by Flavia and Vincent. Strictly marvellous.
