A PANTOMIME classic is being staged at the The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury.

The Cherwell Theatre Company presents Jack and the Beanstalk and runs until Sunday, January 20.

This year the community production, directed by Nasser Memarzia, is an old-fashioned, traditional panto, complete with Dame and plenty of audience participation.

Families will be able to enjoy a real treat with a host of larger-than-life characters including a fun-loving Fairy, the ‘dainty’ Dame, a whacky wicked Witch, our hot-headed Hero, an uncommonly courteous Cow and of course the enormous Giant.

Mr Memarzia said: “We are really pulling out all the stops to put on a panto that will delight the whole family and we hope our audiences will agree that this is our best ever.”

Tickets for the show cost between £8 and £10 or £32 for a family ticket of four people.
