THERE promises to be something for everyone when a country fair returns following its successful first year.
The Althorp Country Show, hosted by the estate on the weekend of May 21 and 22, is expected to draw in thousands of visitors.
Attractions include a horse demonstration team, Knights of the Damned jousting team, birds of prey display, donkey rides, children’s farm and Punch and Judy.
There are a host of rural demonstration skills to enjoy including braiding, spinning and weaving and stone masonry.
For those in a culinary mood, cooking demonstrations and wine tasting will take place throughout the weekend and you can sample and buy from the arts, crafts and gifts marquees.
A companion dog show is taking place on Sunday.
Proceeds from this part of the show will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
There will also be a display from the Aston Martin owners club on the Sunday.
Entry on the door is £7 for adults, £6 concessions and £3 for children under 16. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £16. Tickets can be booked in advance at a discounted rate.
