TALES of suspense and mystery will be unfolding at a village hall next week.
Footloose Theatre present The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes at Staverton Village Hall from 7.30pm on Friday, May 6.
Two of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic stories are vividly bought to life in this one-man show by the acclaimed performer Paul Lehmann in this high-energy fusion of physical theatre and storytelling.
Marvel in The Blue Carbuncle as Baker Street’s most famous detective uses his extraordinary powers of deduction, as an old hat and a Christmas goose provide the clues in the hunt for the thief of a priceless gem stone.
And the audience will be left shuddering in The Engineer’s Thumb as a nightmare tale is retold in the best gothic horror tradition.
The same company has previously bought Dickens’ Ghosts which toured successfully throughout the UK to both public and critical acclaim.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes has been bought to Staverton by Northants Touring Arts which aims to bring top quality shows and performers to rural locations across the county.
