AN open-air show featuring one of the greatest fictional detectives will be coming to Canons Ashby next month.

The critically acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company have devised the Sherlock Holmes show which is currently touring around the UK.

Sherlock Holmes will be coming to the Elizabethan Manor House on Friday, August 2.

It contains just four actors and is packed full of action and adventure as the dynamic duo of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson tackle one of their most fiendish cases in this delightfully inventive show.

The show is described as suitable for all ages and features live music, audience interaction and more mystery than you can shake a magnifying glass at.

Mark Haywood from The Pantaloons said: “The tour has been going really well so far.

“The good weather has really helped and we have been selling out a lot of the performances so I’d recommend people book their tickets sooner rather than later.”

The Pantaloons specialise in performing outdoor theatre shows and have bought to the stage Grimm Fairy Tales, The Canterbury Tales, The Importance of Being Earnest, A Christmas Carol along with many adaptations of Shakespeare.

People attending the outdoor theatre event are also encouraged to bring a picnic along to eat with them inside the grounds.

Visitors can enter the grounds and picnic from 4.30pm with the performance runnning from 6pm to 9pm.

Tickets for the show must be booked in advance.

Entrance to see Sherlock Holmes is £12.50 for adults, £8 for children and £35 for a family ticket. They can be booked by calling 01327 861903 or by emailing canonsashby@nationaltrust.org.uk.
