SOME of the town’s most aspiring talents will converge for a competition on Saturday.

The showcase of acts will form the final of Daventry’s Got Talent, being held as part of the Music in the Park Event.

Singers, musicians and dancers are among the finalists for the talent search which will be held at the New Street Recreation Ground.

The event has been organised by Bring the Noise, who organise music nights at The Phoenix Centre in the town.

Headlining the event is the Daventry-based band So’77, who have appeared at a host of music festivals over the years as well as toured the country.

The four piece-band performs covers from the punk/new wave music of the late 70s and early 80s including music from the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Undertones and The Jam.

Entrance to the event is free and is suitable for all ages. It runs from 3pm-8pm. Music in the Park is part of Daventry Arts Festival run by Daventry Business Partnership. For further information about the events at the arts festival, visit www.daventry.co.uk or call 01327 828391.
