The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry will host two big names from the world of entertainment starting tonight (Thursday).

Singer and TV presenter Aled Jones will be on stage tonight while on Friday comedian Russell Kane will headline a new comedy club at the theatre.

Loved by the nation for his pure treble voice, singer, actor, author and broadcaster Aled Jones MBE will be making his first visit to the Belgrade.

The show called Aled Jones – Songs Of Hope and Inspiration and features an eclectic mix of songs, anecdotes and stories from Aled’s 27 years in the public eye.

He was a regular on Songs of Praise for more than 10 years and has presented both Escape to the Country and Cash in the Attic for the BBC.

Aled also presents Classic FM’s Sunday morning radio show and has been joining Lorraine Kelly on ITV1’s Daybreak. He has sold more than 6.5 million albums to date and has released 29 with a new one out later this year.

The show starts at 7.45pm.

Star of BBC3 Unzipped and Live At The Apollo Russell Kane leads a bumper comedy line-up in Live At The Belgrade on Friday.

Winner of the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award and The Barry Award, Russell Kane is a multi-talented writer and performer who has firmly established himself as one the best comics in the UK today. He also co-hosted the show, Staying In with Russell and Greg alongside Greg James.

Currently touring the UK with his brand new live show Smallness which has posed the question about why the nation is obsessed with height. The show also explores the notion of being tiny but fierce, close but distant and how we keep things small when life gets big. The show also starts at 7.45pm

This all-new comedy showcase will see headliner Russell joined on stage by several up-and-coming comic talents Rich Wilson, Markus Birdman, Darius Davies and Ash Firth.

Tickets to see Aled Jones cost between £20.25 and £28 while to see Live at the Belgrade, it costs from £16.50 to £18.50.
