A VILLAGE store will be celebrating 25 years with an exhibition next week.

The Bramble Patch in West Street, Weedon, will be marking the anniversary with several different events throughout the month.

From Monday to Saturday, August 18, the store will be serving coffee and birthday cake, competitions and raffles with prizes and a preview of all the classes on offer throughout autumn, winter and spring. There will also be shopping bargains.

There will also be a large selection of fabric displays on show for the 2012 Summer Showcase. They were hung at Bletchley Park earlier in the year and will be on show until Saturday, August 25.

Entry to the event is £2 with money raised at the event going to Macmillan Cancer Care.

A number of tutors will be holding sessions during August. All of them are exhibiting artists and it will be a chance to see the design process in action and to ask questions.

Brenda Boardman will be visiting until Saturday. Viv Denscombe will be the next artist on Wednesday, August 22. The following two days will see visits from Edwina Mackinnon and Catherine Nicholls.
