OVER the years I have read about Daventry District Council's plans for the town's development.
I now feel compelled to write regarding the comments made by Cllr Millar regarding a possible vote by the Daventry residents on the proposed canal/marina development.
Firstly he says it's a waste of taxpayers' money. That's a bit arrogant considering the money his council wasted on the pod scheme and various other consultancies.
Then he says it's not as simple as having a question that asks for a yes or no. That's normal for a politician. Just because they can never answer a question with a yes or no they assume that no one else can.
I think that Cllr Millar is worried that a vote might confirm that not many in Daventry want the scheme.
