A POPULAR Daventry rock band has released their debut single for digital download.

The Royal Fingers Puppets, a four-man band, released the single called I Think You Know last month which is said to be a song which will please the band's many fans.
Singer Keith Moreman said: "It is a song that we have played at a few gigs and has always gone down well. We recorded it at the end of April and it sounded really good so we thought we would get it out there and see how it did.
"I would describe it as an infectious rock song."
The single was officially released on Monday, June 15 and is available to download from iTunes, Amazon's digital download and Napster. The cost of the single is 79p.
Keith added: "We are really happy with how it turned out. A lot of other groups are releasing singles and we
feel we should be doing the same."
The new look band recently performed their first headline gig down in London in May this year.
Keith said: "The London gig was a lot of fun. It was difficult because we were on at 11pm on a Bank Holiday Monday, but it went down well and we have been doing lots of other gigs."
The group are also currently writing material for a new album and they will be one of the headline acts at the four weekends of Welton Music Festival which will be taking place at The White Horse, Welton.
The Royal Finger Puppets will be appearing on Friday, August 28 at the venue. Visit www.myspace.com/therfp.
