LIVE music and beer will be on offer at a festival in Woodford Halse later this month.
The May Beer Festival at Woodford United Football Club in Byfield Road will feature music from five acts and a selection of guest beers.

The event, which will take place from Friday, May 22, to Sunday, May 24, has been organised by the people behind the prolific Woodford Rocks nights in the village.

Appearing on the opening night will be Hope + Glory, from Banbury, who will perform classic Ska material and covers by 80s pop band Madness, from 8.30pm.

Rock band Soley Mourning, who perform mainly their own material with some covers and have recently released their fourth album, will take to the stage on Saturday at 3pm, followed by Stiff Joints, a classic rock covers band from Rugby, at 8pm.

The rock/blues covers band Warts and All will be playing music from the 60s to the 80s on Sunday at 3pm, while rock band Univited will perform rock covers from the 80s and 90s at 6.30pm.

There will also be fundraising activities to raise money for the Daniel Worrall Memorial Trust, which was was set up following the death of the keen footballer and cricketer from the village in a car crash in January.
