A CLUB in Daventry will be celebratings its first birthday with a special event.
Casey’s Club in Market Square will be holding a free foam disco, which was suggested by the resident DJ of the club.

Keith Marlow, proprietor of Casey’s Club, said: “Richard Cooper came up with the idea to have a foam disco and he said it would look good. Once it has been set up with the lighting and the music, it will look really good.”

The free disco, which is open to members and non-members, will be held on Friday, May 8 at 7.30pm.

It will round off a year of change and improvements at the club.

Keith added: “It has been a year of consolidation. The membership has also doubled in the past year which is good. It enables us to keep the prices competitive.

“At the moment, we are very happy keeping things going the way they are.”

Mike Smith will be singing golden oldies in the bar at the club today (Thursday) from 2-5pm to celebrate St George’s Day.

The club welcomes new members and forms are available at the venue. There is a £5 joining fee and it costs £10 per year for men and £5 per year for women. Membership for the over 65s is free.

For more information about becoming a member of Casey’s Club, call 01327 877899 or visit www. caseysclub.co.uk.
