Youngster wins iPad competition

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD from Daventry had an extra reason to celebrate Christmas when she won an iPad.

A competition organised by the Daventry Business Partnership (DBP) resulted in Eve Perehinec winning the handheld device.

It was a Christmas Shopping Crawl competition designed to encourage interest in local shops and businesses within the town centre in the build up to the festive season and was held throughout December.

People had to visit the stores with their entry forms and get them stamped to be in with a chance of winning.

The second place in the prize draw saw Helen Suleiman from the Headlands, Daventry winning a slow cooker.

Other prizes handed out included a Christmas cake, a DVD collection and two sets of perfume.

The prizes were drawn out by Steve Mills, Daventry Express reporter, on Tuesday, December 18.
