No moor for boat builder
A MAN who has built boats at a local marina for more than 20 years has hung up his tools.
David Thomas, pictured, who ran David Thomas Boatbuilders, based at Braunston Marina, decided to retire after a decline in the boatbuilding industry.
Although there was still plenty of repair and maintenance work to be done, Mr Thomas, 62 had not received any orders for new boats for around a year and so decided to shut up a sho.
Tom Coghlan, who runs Braunston Marina, said: “We will miss him greatly.”
