YOUNGSTERS are being invited to a week of fun and games at Churches Together in Daventry’s annual holiday club.

Based on Scripture Union’s Mission:Rescue holiday club material, the week will be full of creative teaching, games, crafts, drama, songs, prayers and bible reading as children learn about God’s great plan for salvation.

The holiday club runs from 10am till 12.30pm from August 13-17 and is open to all youngsters aged seven to 11.

Leaders of the holiday club, Canon Michael Webber, Liz Adams, Rev Chrys Trenththanmor and Gilly Beardmore are excited about the event.

They said: “We’re really looking forward to this year’s holiday club. It will be great fun, we’ll make new friends, we’ll learn a lot and it would be fantastic if lots of children come along.’

Registration for this year’s holiday club will be held at the United Reformed Church, Foundry Place on Saturday July 14 from 2pm till 3pm.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The cost for the whole week is £6 which is payable at the time of registration.
