Week 13 - League 1
THE first game this week saw the Workers host Daventry SSC. The away side took the first doubles game with a win for Paul Butler (180, 100x2) and Troy Miller (120) only for Matt Edgar (139, 135, 100x2) and Andy Swain (100) to level the match.
Wins for Stuart
Marshall (121, 100) and Tony Randall (100x3) gave SSC a 3-1 lead.
Ricky Cole (125, 100x3) reduced the deficit only for SSC to take the final two games through Paul Butler (135, 134, 100x4) and Troy Miller giving SSC a five games t
o two success.

Game two saw Long Buckby FC entertain The Wheatsheaf A, Weedon. The home side took the first
doubles game through Joe Gammidge (133) and Iain Bow (111, 100x3) only for Roy Osborne and Shaun Gibbs (140) to level the match.

Max Murray (140, 100) made it 2-1 to The Wheatsheaf only for Long Buckby to take the final four games with wins for Ray
Feasey (140, 135, 132, 100), Iain Bow (100x3), Mick Feasey (135, 100) and Pete Shirley (140, 125, 100x2) giving Long Buckby a 5-2 victory.
Game three was played at St James A versus The Pike and Eel. The away side took the first doubles game through Chris Gay (100) and Gary Birch (111, 105) only for Craig Graham and 'Hemps' to level
the match.

The Pike then took the first four singles games with wins for John Gaul (140x2, 100, 101f), Chris Gay (133, 115, 100, 138f), 'Apple' (140x2, 100) and Gary Birch (100). 'Burtie' (140x2, 100x2) pulled one back for St James but it was The Pike who won by 5-2.

The final game in League One saw The Wheatsheaf,
Braunston host The Con Club A.

The home side took the first doubles game through 'Swanny' (140, 125) and Gordon Aldridge only for Ivan Lester (100) and Ray Hobrow to level
the match. A win for Ivan Lester (140x2) made it 2-1 to The Cons.

The Wheatsheaf responded by taking the next three games through Gordon Aldridge (140), Dave Harris (100x2) and 'Swanny' (140, 105, 100x2).
Brian Seal (100x2) took the final game for The Cons but The Wheatsheaf won by four games to three.

The first game in League Two saw The Dun Cow entertain St James B. The home side took both doubles matches through Luke Spence (100) and Clive Hart (100) followed by Terry Griffin (100x2) and Keith
Chapman (135).

St James levelled the match by taking the next two games with wins for
Anthony Leedham (100) and Stuart Heath (121, 100x3).

The Dun Cow responded by taking the next two games through Keith Chapman (117) and Luke Spence (100). Gavin Taylor (121, 100) took the final game for St James but it was
The Dun Cow who take a four games to three victory.
Game two saw The Con Club B take on The Bowls Club.

The away side took the first doubles game through M Harris (115) and M Waldron only for JP Pickerin and Paula Giles (92) to level
the match.

A win for JP Pickerin (100) gave The Cons the lead only for The Bowls Club to take the next three games through B Gelder (140), Bob Polwarth (100) and M Waldron (100).

Steve Binder (100) took the final game for The Cons but itwas The Bowls Club who won by four games to three.

Game three saw the St James Minxs entertain The Plume of Feathers. The away side took both
doubles games through S Tacey (100, 110) and D Lowbridge followed by Dave Christie and B Piper (121, 100).

Lynn Tyler (80) pulled one back for The Minxs only for The Plume to take the final four games through 'Jug' (140, 121), Michael Christie (121, 100) Rob Cooper (100) and 'Shoes' Graham (100x4) giving The Plume a six games to
one success.

The final game in League Two saw The White Horse, Norton, host The Maltsters, Weedon.

The away side took the first doubles game through Rob Franks (100x2) and Steve Arissol (100) only for Neil Keeling (136) and Phil Turner to level the match.

Neil Bayliss gave The Maltsters the lead but wins for Ian Donachie (125, 100) and Neil Keeling swung the advantage to The White Horse.
A win for Iain Harper (140x2, 100x2) sent the match into the deciding game where Phil Turner secured 4-3 success for The White Horse.

Gaul 101f.
